We have electricity!
I do not have internet except at the opposite side of the room as the work desk and power sockets, so staying connected to the internet has been a /strange and extreme/ undertaking, especially that one day where I left the room for 20 minutes to wash my hair, and came back to find that the power cable to the router, which puppy took a chunk out of ages back, finally decided enough was enough. ...yeah I'm not actually sure what I cannibalised for a new cable, but uh, it must not have been very important or it would have been plugged in.
and I should have probably said this earlier, but my room phone line has been disconnected for the past two weeks so if you were trying to call me, uh, \o
also, because this was why I was posting to lj anyway: avant-garde is not a compliment. avant-garde is what you say when you mean "what the hell were you thinking?" but you are being paid to be nice about it. same goes for 'edgy'. side-effect of my job: i learned 200 ways to describe a bathroom.
